        History

        Arthur Horsfall was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he studied at the Winnipeg School of Art with L.L. Fitzgerald and Joe Plaskett, he also participated in summer workshops with Kenneth Lochhead and Roy Kiyooka. He was commercial catalogue illustrator and used his experience as a commercial artist to depict buildings and street scenes.

        Arthur Horsfall was a member of the 1970s Subway Group (of Artists) in Winnipeg, which became known as the Subway Galleries.
