Algemene aantekening
Description given by donor: BKS-5 Sept 1975 - Just moved to Moose Jaw, 952 Hall St. W. ( 2 tiny studios - front and back of house; drawing room/office and ceramic mud-room). spiral-bound “artist’s sketchbook,” likely acid free, Cover (added later in 1978) - “Unscientific American: The State of New Physics Today”
Started just after Desert / S.F. Trip 1975 . Most drawings turned into acrylic glaze (layered) paintings, some into ceramics, some both. Themes of landscapes, imaginary and evolutionary; more elaboration of Ant Culture Research Institute/ Compound Eye Research Institute; minor involvement with mail art, (Ant Farm, Synergetic Research Gall., etc.), folk-art graphics. Keyworks: sculptures: Architectonica perspectiva, Naturalist's House. Acrylic paintings: Architectonica perspectiva, Evolutionary Re-run, etc. (achieving at times a very rich correspondence between 2-D (polychrome ceramics) and 3-D works, glazing techniques used in both media), perhaps with some “psychedelic” suggestions - the color and depth enhanced beyond “normal reality.”
