This fonds contains Hertha Pfeifer's material documenting the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus Conservatory of Music's November 1965 production of The Bartered Bride by Bedřick Smetana, English version by Marian Farquhar. Hertha Pfeifer played the character Ludmila in the production.

This is particularly evident in her correspondence with various individuals and institutions between 1973 and 1981. A substantial proportion of the collection is also comprised of drafts and background material to the numerous short stories she has authored. Aside from providing vital information on the construction of these works, the files provide insight on Dr. Givner as a person. They show her to be a persistent and particular researcher, a flourishing scholar and personable individual.
