      Historique

      Lucy Murray was born in 1902, the middle of three daughters born to Walter Murray, the University of Saskatchewan's first President. She was born in Halifax in 1902 and moved to Saskatoon with her parents in 1909. Lucy attended the University of Saskatchewan and earned a B.A. and B.Ed. in 1923. At the University of Toronto she obtained an M.A degree in 1925 and in 1935 she was awarded a Doctoral degree from the University of Chicago. Lucy Murray wrote The Ideal of the Court Lady in England, 1558-1625, which was published in 1935. From 1936 to July 1967 Dr. Murray taught English at the Regina Campus of the University of
      Saskatchewan and was an Associate Professor of English until she passed away in July 1967.
