Returning to Saskatchewan in 1959, he taught at the University of Saskatchewan and in 1975 became a full professor serving as head of the Art department from 1973 to 1978 and helped develop the “Open Studio” method of instruction.

Otto Rogers has had one-man shows at the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris, the Galleria Del Millione in Milan, Espace 5 in Montreal and the Mira Godard Gallery in Toronto and well as many others. His work is represented in several notable public and corporate collections: the National Museum of Art in Iceland; Toronto-Dominion Bank; the Shell Oil Collection and the Imperial Oil Limited Collection.

He is an appointed member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Artists, and has received various Canada Council Awards.
