This small accession is comprised of one book written by Oscar D. Seawell. In October 2013 Oscar Seawell came to Archives to let us know of an error that he’s noticed in his book on page 45, regarding the mention of the black plague which happened in 1347 and not 1947.

There are no access restrictions on the material in this collection. The files relate to the writing of Seawell’s book The Pulse of International War published in 2012. Corrections to the text are shown in the authors handwriting on page 45 regarding the bubonic plague (Black Death) that reached Europe in 1347 rather than 1847; on page 188 of the publication the correction in Table 16.6 Indexes for 1944 and 1946-2000 (at the bottom of the page) refers to the total for SIIB (Seawell’s Index of International Battles) rather that IWI (International War Index), calculated as 1000 x SIIB/Pop).
