The Anne Szumigalski Fonds consists of audio visual material, awards and grants, calendars, contracts, correspondence, memorabilia, news clippings of interest to Anne and those about Anne Szumigalski, many Notebooks filled with poems both finished and unfinished as well as ideas for poems. Information pertaining to her Professional Activities, Reviews on her work as well as Writing by Anne and her various writing partners is also present. A few photographs exist within several of the folders within this collection. The majority of the records are the notebooks and writing by Szumigalski. This collection contains material dating from the 1958 to 1998, with the majority being from the 1960s. Material relates to the writing of Harding's book: Top Hats and Head Loads. The donor’s file titles were used where possible; the contents includes 4 negative strips, 43 photographs, and 12 negatives. Preservation copies were made of the news clippings which were then destroyed, a photo index can be made available.

Material relates to the publication of the two books: Top Hats and Head Loads and Survival Through Art. The bulk is on the former. The collection also includes materials chronicling Bea and Bill Harding's time in Liberia in 1960-62. The donor’s file titles were used where possible; the contents of 2 floppy disks were printed and 37 negative strips, 110 photographs, and 56 slides were numbered and sleeved.
